This is the Original cover painting for the 25th book in Piers Anthony's long-running and highly popular Xanth series of novels.  The book is considered one of the most intricate and intriguing tales in this history of Piers Anthony's bestselling Xanth fantasy adventures and DKS' cover painting does the story justice!  The title was taken from a spoonerism for the Shakespearean phrase "one fell swoop," famously (but not first) spoken by the tongue-twisted Peter Sellers character in the 1964 movie The Pink Panther.  DKS did most of Anthony's covers in that series, and  none have been available for years - so now's the time to pick your favorite!  This one, like others, published by Tor, 2001  (book  shown for reference only).  Painted in acrylic on gypsum board, 24" x 32"  and signed "DKS"  bottom left plus signed and titled on the reverse.
