This original painting is listed in Pether's inventory simply as "High Country Rifle" and was clearly created for use on a Western romance novel, published title unknown.  From the late 1980s, and is one of the few paintings signed by Pether.  Handpainted in gouache and acrylic on illustration board 10.25" x15" and finely done.
