This is the original cover painting for the romance novel by Christine Marion Fraser, Book #3, the final volume in the trilogy series about the Grant family of Aberdeenshire that began with "King's Croft" and then "King's Acre" published by HarperCollins, 1990.   Fraser was also the author of the Rhanna series of romances, for which Pether also contributed cov er paintings.   Hand-painted in gouache and acrylic on illustration board, 14.5" x 10.75" and  comes with a label attesting to its authenticity signed by Pether's widow, mounted to the back.
