This is the original cover painting for an adventure romance novel by Graham Masterton, about the diamond industry in South Africa in 1868, published by Little, Brown 1988.  Stylish and beautifully painted characters painted in a "wraparound" panoramic format in gouache and acrylic on illustration board c. 13.5" x 11"   -  and comes with a label attesting to its authenticity signed by Pether's widow, mounted to the back.
