This is an original painting created for the cover of a romance novel by Phyllis A. Whitney, published by Hodder & Stoughton in hardcover, 1991.  Fred produced a number of book covers for this author, and each shows his skill in rendering both historical and contemporary heroines in beautiful detail.  Lovely colors, gorgeously detailed background and effect in a landscape format, painted in acrylic on illustration board, 12" x 18"  and comes signed.
