This is an original painting created for the cover of a historical romance novel by Elizabeth Goudge, published by Coronet, in paperback 1991.  Fred produced a number of book covers for this well-known British author - this a story of "love and courage" set in the time of the English Civil War and Charles 1st.  A beauty in "wraparound" landscape format, in acrylic on illustration board, 18" x 24.5"  and comes signed.
