Every once in a while, an artist decides to complete a concept that was rejected by an art director; here is one example of that!  Originally conceived as the image for the month of November - for the Llewelyn Astrological Calendar for 2012 - this is the original idea for "Scorpio" - a fearless and determined cave explorer dealing with a large water creature.   Painted in oil on masonite, 11" x 8" with another 1" border on the board, and signed.
